I'm getting pretty interested in spearfishing these days but honestly don't know much about it. I'm going to try and build a Hawaiian sling for my first spear gun. But the biggest problem is that i don't have a boat. All i have is a two person kayak which i think should do. Ill have to check the regulations but i think you have to go like 300 yards offshore which is easy to kayak. I'm planning on free diving along with a friend. If anyone has experience on how to build a Hawaiian sling, close inshore free dive spots, speices i should target, or any other pointers please leave some comments. I need all the help i can get. Thanks in advance.

so, have you gone yet? In my country, there is a law currently being pursued to ban spearfishing. However, Hawaiian slings will be allowed. I am gonna make one out of bamboo and free dive off the coast. Let me know what u learn
